Hi, and welcome! What you have found is the web's home for the
1970's group known as Syntax.
Never heard of them? You're not
alone. So, read on.

| This page is dedicated to three of my best friends who, for 3 years,
put up with limited rehearsal time, limited recording technology, mixed
musical directions, the occasional battle of wits, but always plenty of
fun. I was the bass player and recording engineer for the group, and
this is our story. |
| The
History page will tell our brief, yet thrilling story of our ride
to the top of at least one person's list of all time favorite 70's ABBA
knock-off groups. I must also warn you, there will be a lot of
"tongue-in-cheek" comments, which was a large part of our
group's dynamics as well. The
Photo Album page will display the
dozens of photos of Syntax "in action," which were processed at
the local K-Mart, and boy do they show it! The
All the Rest page
will show a few odds and ends that didn't fit on the other pages.
Eventually this site will feature audio clips from our various
sessions. For a 1970's "Living Room" band (we never, ever played
in a garage) the sound is at times pretty good. Wished we had the
technology of today's "kids" and I think we would have a had a
"thicker" sound. |
